Jacques Malherbe is a corporate and tax law practitioner in Brussels, Belgium and is regularly appointed as arbitrator.
He is the author or co-author of many publications including the Tax Management Portfolio on Business Operations in Belgium and leading textbooks on international and European taxation and Belgian corporate law and tax law. He authored various publications on trusts. He lectures and frequently gives speeches on these topics in Europe and Latin America.
He is a professor emeritus of the University of Louvain (UCL), a visiting professor at the universities of Hamburg, Tilburg, Bologna, Vienna, Castilla-La Mancha and at EDHEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes commerciales - France), a corresponding member of the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación of Madrid and is Doctor Honoris Causa of the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos of Lima, Peru.
He holds a doctorate in law and a degree in economic science from the University of Louvain (UCL) and a master of laws (LL.M.) degree from Harvard University.
